This individual is responsible for pulling orders, loading trucks, and checking for quality and accuracy while ensuring that special instructions are followed.

Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions)

  • Load trucks ensuring accuracy; trucks need to be properly loaded to avoid load shifting
  • Pull orders as on pick ticket, ensuring special instructions are being followed
  • Properly stage orders in staging area. Depending on the size of the order, it may be loaded directly onto a trailer
  • Check all work for quality and accuracy
  • Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner that will ensure quality workmanship and preservation of equipment, without unusual wear or damage to equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on forklift and communicate any issues to supervisor or maintenance
  • Report safety, quality, and equipment issues to supervisor
  • Ensure good housekeeping within the warehouse
  • Maintain positive and productive communications with all relationships
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures
  • Must be trained on Box-Board Products, Inc. Employee Practices for AIB Compliance (a.k.a. Good Manufacturing Practices or G.M.P.’s); must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.’s)
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Forklift; computer; tape measure; box cutter; air hose; office equipment; proper PPE; banding; shrink wrap

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Warehouse experience is preferred
  • Must be able to operate a forklift; at least 2 years experience is preferred
  • Must complete BBP forklift certification course and maintain forklift license
  • Must be able to read and understand English instructions; written and verbal
  • Must be able to communicate with supervisor and coworkers
  • Ability to frequently travel up and down a flight of stairs

Schedule:

  • 10 Hour Shifts

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
