GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides door-to-door transportation services, for Department of Transportation Access Clients, in an orderly, courteous and safe manner as instructed by the Director of Transportation.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates NAC vehicles in a safe manner.
- Provides door-to-door service as necessary.
- Responsible to maintain cleanliness of vehicle inside and out.
- Reports needed maintenance items on a timely basis, and properly fill out incident or accident report forms when necessary.
- Follow instructions by Dispatcher/Scheduler.
- Attend Drivers’ meetings and classes as required.
- Performs other driver-related duties as instructed.
- Is courteous and professional to passengers.
- Keeps dispatcher informed of location and status whenever necessary.
- Dresses in a professional manner.
- Performs any related tasks required by the Dispatch Supervisor.
- May have access to electronic, manual or written protected health or other information by scope and responsibility. Will be required to adhere to the privacy practices as detailed in the Notice of Privacy Practices, privacy policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other duties as requested by the Director of Transportation.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE REQUIRED:
- Applicant must be at least 25 years of age.
- Valid current driver’s license and a minimum of 5 years personal driving experience.
- Criminal record history and child abuse clearance required.
- Pre-employment drug screening.
- Geographic knowledge of the City of Pittsburgh and northern Allegheny County.
- Motor Vehicle report history.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal working hours range between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight, seven days a week.
- Non-Exempt position.
