Executive Director – Clinical Service Line (Des Moines)

Role Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President of National Accounts, the Executive Director will play a key role in expanding clinical service offerings and supporting overall business objectives. This individual will be responsible for positioning clinical solutions, refining strategic initiatives, and driving thought leadership in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and expansion of clinical service lines, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in clinical operations, supporting internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to position clinical solutions effectively.
  • Oversee the creation of messaging, sales materials, and presentations for clinical services.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for service line growth, including partnerships and potential acquisitions.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and product teams to refine solutions and enhance service offerings.
  • Address client escalations and work with internal teams to implement tailored solutions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in clinical services such as utilization management, clinical documentation integrity, or revenue cycle management.
  • Active RN license with a minimum of 7 years of clinical experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a graduate degree in healthcare, nursing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) preferred. Additional credentials such as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS are a plus.
  • Experience working in or with global healthcare outsourcing or revenue cycle management organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare industry trends, including payor and provider ecosystems, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to articulate clinical value propositions and develop market-facing sales strategies.
  • Experience engaging with senior-level executives in healthcare organizations.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and driving transformation through process excellence, digitization, and automation.
  • High emotional intelligence, strong leadership skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Additional Information:

  • Travel is required to support business initiatives, including visits to global delivery locations.
  • Must maintain compliance with industry regulations, including HIPAA and other applicable healthcare policies.

Compensation and Benefits: 
Competitve Salary starting at $150,000 +, based on education, certifications, and experience. Benefits & travel expenses included.
