Waller Design is searching for a Designer who will assist with technical drafting and event layout production. Under the supervision of the Design Manager, you will collaborate with both internal teams and clients to develop creative, innovative, and functional design solutions for various events and architectural spaces. This role requires a balance of technical design skills, clear communication, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and updating 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Help develop event layouts, floor plans, and site plans for concerts, festivals, sporting events, and more.
  • Translate sketches, notes, or redlines into clean, clear drawing sets.
  • Support the preparation of construction documents and takeoff drawings for vendors and contractors.
  • Help maintain and organize our block libraries and Revit families.
  • Follow internal drawing standards and help keep documents consistent and easy to use.
  • Provide accurate asset counts and layout details across projects.
  • Coordinate with team members to meet drawing delivery timelines.

Requirements and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, drafting, or related field.
  • Revit Certified Professional – Required
  • AutoCAD Certified Professional – Required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and a good sense of layout, scale, and clarity.
  • Excellent visual-spatial awareness and attention to technical precision
  • Ability to produce legible, standard-compliant, construction-ready drawings
  • Experience in events, site planning, or temporary structures is a plus, but not required
  • Comfortable working under deadlines, during weekends, and under pressure
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and precisely.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with TwinmotionEnscape, or other rendering tools.
  • Familiarity with Plex Earth or topographic overlays
  • Exposure to FF&E layouts or working in fast-paced design environment
