SUMMARY
The Electro-Mechanic is responsible for performing regulatory preventive maintenance work under the supervision of management. The Electro-Mechanic is also responsible for ensuring safety procedures are followed when performing modifications, set-ups, preventive maintenance, and movement of equipment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensures all preventive work is performed according to maintenance schedule.
· Ensures all safety precautions are taken prior to and after performing work.
· Ensures equipment is in working order and to company standards.
· Logs, records, and tracks the performance of machinery.
· Conducts regulatory tests to ensure machines and equipment is operating at optimum conditions.
· Communicates improvement suggestions to management and works with management on the completion of special projects pertaining to maintenance and production.
· Performs all machine repairs as needed.
· Conducts machine set-ups for manufacturing.
· Ensures compliance with all company safety procedures and requirements including but not limited to Lock-Out Tag-Out, confined workspaces, and personal protective equipment.
· Facility maintenance
· Any other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proven knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operational Procedures
· Understanding and working knowledge of pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic equipment
· Excellent electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills
· Knowledge of CNC equipment required
· Knowledge of PLC required
· Knowledge of lock out-tag out
· Repair of computerized machinery
· Ability to operate and handle material movement equipment
REQUIREMENTS
· High School Diploma
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanic role in a manufacturing environment
· Electrical certification preferred
· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organization
· Ability to manage various projects to completion
· Ability to operate a computer and CNC systems
· Ability to move safely around the manufacturing environment
