Manage crew members under your direct supervision

Responsibilities:

  • Manage crew members under your direct supervision
  • Recruit, hire, train, and discipline Crew Members and Supervisors 
  • Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure that specifications are met and make recommendations as necessary
  • Safely operate company vehicles and equipment 
  • Ensure jobsite quality control and safety
  • Inventory tools and materials and equipment; arrange repairs for equipment when needed
  • Communicate with managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities
  • Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports
  • Train crew members in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and/or company policies
  • Communicate and be point of contact for our customers while on the job
  • Follow oral and written instructions
  • Adhere to all company policies according to the employee & safety handbook

Requirements:

  • Continuously stand for up to 10 or more hours a day
  • Lift or carry up to 90 +/- lbs. of necessary supplies from the truck to the worksite
  • This job is an outdoors job with little to no work to be performed indoors 
  • Work outdoors in cautious weather conditions for long periods of time.  Outdoor temperature can range       from above 100˚ F to below 0˚ F
  • Working weekends may be required; some travel 
  • Bending and/or stooping is a regular activity frequently performed
  • Able to walk on uneven ground
  • Be aware of the various hazards associated with working outdoors such as:
    • Poisonous plants such as poison ivy/oak, briars, thorns, sumac, etc.
    • Extreme weather conditions such as heat, rain, dust, etc.
    • Animal hazards such as insects, snakes, ticks, etc.
  • Requires effective communication via phone and in person with co-workers and customers
  • Requires good judgment and sound decision-making ability
