Summary
The Shipping Tech will be responsible for preparing items for all outgoing shipments. Duties of the Shipping Teche will include packaging, creating bills of lading, building pallets, loading the trailer, using FedEx ship manager, using Everest’s shipping wizard, EDI (true commerce) and arranging for the transportation of products.
Essential Functions
· Must be familiar with UPS ground and FedEx shipping, including FedEx International
· Prepare documents, such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, shipping labels and shipping orders to route materials.
· Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
· Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
· Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
· Must be able to drive a lift truck or be willing to learn.
Conducting day to day duties on Everest and true commerce.
Requirements
Educational/Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; equivalent combination (preferred). Company will provide equipment and machine training.

Working Hours: Hours will be 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday

Warehouse/Production:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those typical in a warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, including the sounds of forklifts and tools. The temperature in the warehouse is moderate to hot depending on the time of the year.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
