Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) – Part Time

Connecticut Education Center, part of the Positive Regard Network, invites applicants for anticipated openings in East Hartford for the following positions, with an anticipated start date of August 19, 2024.

Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP):The SLP position requires a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), and valid/current licensure by the State of Connecticut as a Speech Language Pathologist. The SLP provides services to classrooms as a communication specialist by way of (1) adding to our curriculum learning that reflects the therapeutic language requirement of our students, (2) training and mentoring staff to implement the curriculum, and (3) teaching these skills in a classroom setting. The SLP may supervise SLPAs, administers speech and language assessments to students and prepares corresponding reports, as needed, and prepares updates and reports for presentation at district team meetings and attends team meetings as requested.

The position will be scheduled to work 5 to 15 hours per week in our year round school program. Position is part time or per diem, but will consider a full time position for a candidate who also maintains Massachusetts licensure and is willing to work in our Western Massachusetts schools. Competitive salary commensurate with experience; salary range $60 to $80 per hour for part time or per diem hours, depending on education and licensure.
