Operations Warehouse Manager (Providence)

Responsible for both raw material and finished goods materials management and all associated storage and movement at the 1 Dexter, 3 Dexter and New Rd warehouses. Role will primarily work out of the 3 Dexter location but expected to have onsite presence at the New Rd warehouse a few times per week (locations are within 3 miles of each other).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensuring warehouse operations are at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse staff while establishing, monitoring and managing operational goals.
• Plan all outbound shipments of finished product from 3 Dexter location to Aspen facility in Mexico.
• Receive all raw materials into 1 Dexter, 3 Dexter and NR locations and manage all associated movements between these locations.  
• Request material from 3^rd party warehouse locations and manage all associated handling to receive the material.  
• Be responsible for optimization of all warehouse location spaces, executing and ensuring cycle count and inventory accuracy.  
• Implements continuous improvement initiatives to drive safety, efficiency, and inventory control.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This job has supervisory responsibilities for 3-4 direct reports and approximately 15 employees indirectly on the warehouse team.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, logistics or supply chain management
• Minimum 5 years experience working in warehousing or logistics operations with prior experience in management or supervision.  
• Prior experience working in chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Prior experience working in an ISO9001 environment preferred.
• Computer skills required: Inventory Software / ERP experience required (Oracle or SAP preferred); Microsoft Office Suite;
