
The Account Receivable Coordinator is responsible for compiling and maintaining account receivable records for the organization. Process high volume invoicing and cash applications. (Retail experience required preferable big box retail)
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage and apply all payments received from retail customers daily.
- Review outstanding Accounts Receivables weekly and contacts customers via email or phone to get payment status for past due invoices.
- Assemble and distribute Monthly statements to all retail customers.
- Prepare a monthly AR Summary and DSO report for the Management team.
- Investigate whether all short payments are valid and issue a credit to clear the short payment on the customer’s account.
- Maintain open communication with the customer service team for all price and quantity discrepancies.
- Apply all program-related deductions to Customer Accrual Account.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
- Complete balance sheet recons for various accounts.
- Provide various month-end reports which include customer accrual, penalties, and key customer account activity.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and SKills
- Retail experience required, preferably big box retail.
- High degree of organization and detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- An Associate’s Degree in Accounting is preferred, or a combination of education and relevant work experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of AR experience.
