Associate, Project Management

Oriden, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA is looking for an Associate Project Manager.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
  • Lead projects from the mid-stage development team handoff through financing, contracting, and construction, creating and refining schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing frequent contact on project status and changes
  • Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Assess and recommend decision options using financial modeling tools
  • Efficiently gather input from relevant stakeholders, and make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Participate in reviews of designs and other project documents
  • Present to and regularly communicate with a variety of internal management and external stakeholders

    • Education and/or Experience:

Experience:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience is preferred and may include project management, construction management, or engineering
  • Experience in the energy and/or telecommunications industry is preferred

Education and Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, or relevant field
  • Graduate degree a plus, but not required
  • Project Management Professional or related certification preferred
