Position Summary:
Arvato Supply Chain Solutions is hiring a dynamic, hands on Construction Project Engineer to join our team. Due to our continued hyper growth, we are looking for a strong project manager who can successfully drive critical projects to completion and lead FRPs with minimal supervision. This position is critical to the success of our growth as well as the success of our clients!
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can drive projects and RFP’s to on-time delivery, with a focus on quality in a very fast-paced environment. You will have knowledge of supply chain management and feel comfortable working in an open, dynamic and international environment. You will leverage your strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, while being a team player who can communicate effectively, both internally and with our clients. You have an open mindset and can quickly adapt to new technologies and software tools to drive innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage large, complex projects and RFP’s for our North American and global business verticals
- Manage cross-functional teams for Engineering, IT, Operations, HR, QA, Transportation, Security, Legal and Finance through the full project management lifecycle including initial RFP from client, negotiation of SOW and MSA, requirements gathering, timeline development, integration of timelines for each work stream and execution of work packages by the cross-functional teams.
- Responsible for taking a project from point of award to final-close-out and preventing safety incidents, ensuring quality performance, maintaining project schedule and delivering excellent customer service
- PM’s will manage multiple projects at a time depending on size, complexity, and geographic location
- Works with Safety to develop the initial “Site Specific Safety Program” during the review of the “Pre-Construction Safety Meeting” along with project specifications
- Creates and maintains the project schedule including but not limited to schedule look a heads
- Responsible for proactively managing, preventing and communicating any delays, emergencies and problems that can arise
- Oversees and directs construction projects from conception to completion
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
- Review the work progress on daily basis
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Obtain permits and licenses as required
- Performs other duties as required
- Coordinate project initiatives across different departments and distribution centers
- Commercial / Financial understanding including, calculation of initial business case, developing P&L, pricing, financial analysis and simulation
- Deliver presentations and communicate broad business topics to management, employees, peers, vendors and clients
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills while at the same time able to bond with team in order to motivate and maintain workflow and timelines
Minimum Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a project management capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, occasionally more as needed
Preferred Experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience working with companies in the following sectors; High Tech, Healthcare, AIM or Consumer Products industries
- Onsite Construction project management
