
Hyatt Place Fort Worth in partnership with Silverton Casino, LLC is seeking a Director of Sales and Revenue for Hyatt Place Fort Worth, located in the heart of the Historic Stockyards. The Director of Sales and Revenue has a highly visible role, reporting directly to the General Manager of Hyatt Place Fort Worth, and will have direct oversight of the Sales and Marketing operations. The Fort Worth Historic Stockyard district covers 125 acres over 15 square blocks containing legendary landmarks and world-famous cuisine. With bold Texas overtones, our 101 beautifully appointed guestrooms offer the perfect combination of convenience, comfort, and Southern hospitality. Primary Functions:
1) Revenue:
a. Sales & Marketing: Prepare and implement the hotel’s annual Sales and Marketing Plan, make sales calls to key accounts and potential clients, and capitalize on all revenue opportunities.
b. Financial: Aggressively pursue revenue goals and effectively utilize yield management and revenue maximization tools.
2) Community Involvement: Ensure good standing in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureau, other hotels, local schools, local government and other community and civic organizations.
3) Quality: Guest Service: Work closely with the Front Office and Housekeeping teams to ensure the hotel meets or exceeds Brand Standards for Guest Satisfaction.
4) Leadership:
a. Leading: motivate, coach, train in-house sales SOPs to Front Desk team members, set goals, hold team members accountable, and provide feedback, rewards, and recognition.
b. Work Ethic: Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal and team actions, communicate effectively, promote collaboration, nurture a positive, professional work environment, and adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
- Implement Sales and Marketing Plan targeted to achieve annual Revenue goals.
- Achieve Revenue and RevPAR targets for all business segments.
- Adjust sales forecasts as needed. Keep the General Manager and Corporate apprised of the status of these forecasts to ensure that the property has a steady stream of business throughout the year.
- Develop and execute marketing and advertising programs within the General Manager’s guidelines and the approved budgets.
- Leverage any opportunities to cross-sell among other owned properties.
- Maintain high visibility in the surrounding community.
- Lead the Sales Department to achieve revenue and sales goals.
- Implement and maintain efficient sales office procedures for productive use of staff time and ensure the maintenance of accurate and updated account files and follow-up procedures.
- Ensure follow up on all sales leads in a timely manner.
- Assist in the daily/weekly recommendation and development of rate strategies.
- Maintain historical trend analysis for the property.
- Ensure the prompt and systematic servicing of all business accounts.
- Identify and analyze competition, both locally and regionally on a regular basis.
- Attend Chamber of Commerce/Associations meetings as well as other pertinent community activities.
- Develop strategic relationships with third-party providers.
- Ensure that the web and third-party electronic distribution channels are continuously reviewed, researched, and updated for maximum hotel exposure and maximum room night generation.
- Attend relevant trade shows and events to promote assigned properties.
- Provide sales call reports to the General Manager and the Operations Manager as required.
- Set group and corporate sales goals and monitor progress toward these goals.
- Direct other Associates in developing and implementing effective sales actions.
- Respond to off-property requests for sales information.
- Negotiate rates and promotions with guests and vendors.
- Prepare and generate sales action plans on a quarterly basis.
- Manage relationships with decision makers at top accounts.
- Review Smith Travel Research (STR) reports.
- Maintain awareness of market situation and its impact on the hotel. Anticipate business needs with flexible planning.
- Attain personal booking goals on key accounts.
- Interact in a courteous and professional manner with all Guests, Associates, and Community Members.
- Train and develop both leadership and sales skills in all subordinates.
- Ensure all lead generation and follow-through is recorded properly and according to Company policy. 30) Prepare and present contracts for execution by future Guests.
- Enforce Hyatt Place / Silverton Casino Public Relations SOP.
- Enforce Brand requirements and utilize brand tools.
Performance Standards:
Performance shall be measured by achievement of:
· Rooms Revenue goal Catering/F&B/Meeting Rooms Revenue goal
· RevPAR goals (100% minimum) – will be prorated for ramp up.
· STAR ranking goal (1 or 2) – will be prorated for ramp up.
· Forecast Accuracy Goal (+/- 3%)

Skills, Education & Other Requirements:
- 5 + years of progressive hotel sales experience. (preferably with Hyatt)
- Must have thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, and closing.
- Must possess exceptional negotiating skills.
- Strong analytical skills relative to impact on hotel revenues.
- Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred.
- Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset.
- Communication and organizational skills are of utmost importance for this position.
- Possess clear concise written and verbal communication skills.

Machinery, Work Equipment, Programs, Software, Hardware Used:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces and profiling accounts.
- Must be experienced user of software in the Hotel Sales industry and capable of quickly adapting to the new system.
