Maintenance Technician (Memphis)

Essential Duties:
• Must have knowledge to fabricate, install, repair and maintain piping systems, such as
stainless steel, galvanized, CPVC, Kynar/Teflon lined steel and FRP systems according to plant
specifications
• Must be able to operate fork lifts, aerial lifts and other onsite plant vehicles
• Must be able to proficiently operate shop equipment such as drills, saws, grinders and etc
• Demonstrate ability to design and fabricate metal structures such as pipe supports, conduit
stands and other related items. Fabrication skills desired will include measuring, cutting with
saws, powered cutoff wheels, torches, plasma cutters, drilling, bolting, arc and mig welding
• Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret drawings, blue prints and equipment
specifications
• Demonstrate ability to trouble shoot, repair and maintain pumps such as centrifugal, mag
drive and diaphragm
• Knowledge to troubleshoot, repair or replace block and control valves in piping systems
• Prefer knowledge of repair and maintenance of evaporator burners and blowers operating
with natural gas systems at a level to trouble shoot issues and achieve minor
repairs/replacement in kind of parts
• Prefer knowledge and experience to repair maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical
systems, ranging from 24v to 480v, for repair or replacement of in kind motors, motor
starters, control wiring and field instruments
• Prefer knowledge and ability to use volt meters and other electrical test equipment
• Prefer the knowledge and ability to maintain and repair plant lifting equipment such as
cranes, hoist, and rigging equipment
Requirements:
• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), 2 year degree preferred
• EXPERIENCE: 2 years in factory and maintenance work
