
M3 Charlotte is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer
MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Position Summary: Responsible for specification and procurement of large industrial
equipment used for hard rock mining, such as grinding mills, crushing equipment and
conveyors. Knowledge base to include design of complex material handling systems including
mechanical steel design.
Basic Duties:
• Under direct supervision of senior engineer.
• Provide calculations and design mechanical equipment and fabrications which include
conveyors, chutes, hoppers, bins, tanks, dust collections, and process and mechanical
equipment.
• Specification, analysis and procurement of materials and mechanical/process
equipment and the maintenance of equipment lists.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and departments to accomplish project goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
• A minimum of 1-year related engineering experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modeling and MS office.
• Must be proficient e in AutoCAD and 3D (Inventor, Revit).
• Candidate must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices
and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.
• Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a selfstarter, detailed-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
• Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful
manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with
limited supervision.
• Valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.

Desired Qualifications:
• Professional Engineer (PE)
• Previous mining experience
• Bilingual English / Spanish abilities
• Experience as a discipline lead for multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
