Production Operator (Oklahoma City)

Gold Bond Building Products, LLC has an immediate opening for a Production Operator at our Medicine Lodge, KS location. This position will report to the immediate supervisor.

Relocation assistance not available for hourly positions.

HOURLY RATE: $25.22 Introductory straight-time pay rate

JOB TYPE: Full Time

SCHEDULE: Afternoon & Night Shifts Available, Overtime as Needed

Job Summary:

The Production Operator is deemed a safety-sensitive position and is responsible for operating computer-controlled production / manufacturing equipment as well as manufacturing wallboard products. Second and third shift opportunities are currently available. With Safety as the #1 priority, the main responsibilities include following standard operating procedures and job safety analysis to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. Day to day activities include product line changeovers and machine adjustments; maintaining required production records and reporting any inconsistencies or equipment issues; assisting with quality assurance testing of the final product.

Major Job Responsibilities (not all inclusive):

· Responsible for keeping Safety #1 for yourself and your co-workers

· Must be able to operate a forklift safely

· Determine corrective actions necessary to minimize downtime, increase productivity, and maintain continuity of operations

· Ability to make machine and process adjustments to ensure the product is within required specifications while communicating effectively with co-workers

· Troubleshoot and repair equipment at the operator level

· Identify and communicate safety hazards, quality deficiencies, and machine process issues to management

· Know and comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures

· Perform production machinery and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation and safety

· Perform routine finished goods quality control tests

· Maintain a clean and orderly workspace

· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager

Qualifications:

· 18+ years old

· If offered employment, candidates must receive a satisfactory drug test result (including cannabis testing) and a criminal background check.

· Must have effective verbal and written communication skills

· Must have basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills, and the ability to use simple measuring tools such as but not limited to a ruler, calculator, and tape measurer

· Able to operate computerized plant production / manufacturing equipment

· Able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs

· Able to stand continuously throughout the work shift and frequently squat or kneel

· Able to climb stairs frequently and ladders occasionally

· Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. New associates will train on 1st shift for the first 4 weeks and then move to their schedule shift

· Able to work up to 84 hours per week as needed when business and operations demand it

· Team player with an excellent attitude
